Hot Coffee Update: Rim of the World
Let’s just say it: we’re pulling the plug on hot coffee at Rim of the World.
Why? Because the crowd didn’t show. Not enough hands reached for something crafted, roasted within days, poured by hand. No — they walked straight into the cold chrome belly of Starbucks, asking for pumpkin sludge in June and paying $7 for milk foam and corn syrup with a coffee chaser.
And you know what? That’s the system working exactly as designed. Corporate addiction dressed up as convenience. An empire built on over-roasted beans, fake Italian, and enough sugar to sedate a horse.
So no, we’re not pouring hot coffee at Rim anymore. We’re not wasting beautiful beans on an audience that’s been chemically trained to crave sameness and mediocrity. We'll still be roasting every week in Lake Arrowhead, still offering tastings and beans where people actually care.
